Freddy Nock wins the crown as the fastest rope runner in the ‚Running Wire Man‘ Challenge at Wulong Karst National Geology Park (China).

30.03.2016 – Wulong (China). In the middle of the world-famous Wulong Karst National Geology Park in China, a very special kind of competition has taken place today. At a height of 300 m above ground, the elite of the high-wire runners fought for the crown of Wulong’s fastest rope runner. Over a rope distance of 150 m the fastest rope runner was searched for and also found.

In this unique UNESCO World Heritage Site, two parallel steel cables with a diameter of just 2.6 cm were stretched and marked with a competition track of 150 m in length. The Wulong National Park was also known from the 4th part of the Hollywood strip „Tranformers“. For this film, many scenes were shot exactly in this Wulong National Park.

The best three high-wire runners Aisikaier Wubulikaisimu (China), the Italian Maurizio Zavatta and the Swiss Freddy Nock competed.
Victory with a time of 42.04 seconds

Freddy Nock won his rounds and set the absolute fastest time with 42.04 sec. Here are all the best times at a glance:

1. Freddy Nock – 42.04 sec
2. Aisikaier Wubulikaisimu – 52.97 sec
3. Maurizio Zavatta – 75.05 sec

The crown of the fastest Running Wire Man went to Freddy Nock with trophy and certificate, who really enjoyed the victory with his son.
